Here’s great lesson on the anatomy of The Beast. Check out this brilliant video tutorial by Anne Leonard on her Story of Stuff website (borrowed via YouTube). Taken together with my article entitled “What is the Beast?”, you should begin to get a pretty clear understanding about the nature of the Beast.
While I really admire Anne’s optimistic outlook about solutions to the problem of runaway exploitation of Earth and her people, unfortunately I don’t share it. I believe that this phenomenon springs from basic instincts that are common to the vast majority of people from every culture all over the world.
The efforts of the relatively few socially conscious people like Anne Leonard, while so very noble and worthwhile, can ultimately only forestall the inevitable disintegration of human civilization, which is as inevitable as the changing of the seasons.
